Having moved to the UK from Canada, I have spent the last three years entirely focused on one goal: mastering the GCSE curriculum and the specific art of the British exam. I know that for many students, "knowing the subject" isn’t the problem—it’s knowing how to write down what the examiner wants to see.
My approach is built on the reality that GCSEs are as much about strategy as they are about knowledge. Having taught right across Key Stage 3 and 4, I understand exactly where Foundation-tier students tend to lose marks and how to close those gaps — and alongside my Science teaching, I'm also qualified to teach Maths, with strong personal subject knowledge to match.
My Approach to Success:
The "Examiner’s Eye": I teach students how to identify exactly what a question is asking for, ensuring they don't leave easy marks on the table.
Building a Bridge: Because I mastered this curriculum as an adult, I am able to break down the "exam-speak" into plain, actionable English that makes sense to students.
Beyond the Textbook: We don't just review content; we practice the specific structure and timing required to succeed under pressure.
